Bridges of Fantasy County: Rest of Season Thoughts

Well, it finally happened. I knew this day would come. I got an offer to sell high on Aaron Judge. My best waiver wire addition the week the season started is probably going to be a hot ticket item as we head into the heart of the summer. This just happened to be the first. For the offering party, it was to buy a piece for the future. It was a whopper, and although it was generous, it actually didn't come to pass because the other owner does not understand the art of negotiating. Punk.

Our Kings of Queens: Back in a New York Groove

The Mets have had an up and down season so far and this past week was no exception. We saw the returns of Steven Matz, Seth Lugo, and Yoenis Cespedes, but we also saw a heartbreaking loss, a complete blowout and Matt Harvey's campaign of mediocrity. While those bad things did happen, we need to focus on the good. So let's get a few things out of the way.

The Ghosts of Pujols Past

This Saturday, another name joined the select few to have hit 600 home runs. Albert Pujols, at the age of 37, crushed a pitch from Ervin Santana over the left field wall for a Grand Slam. The ballpark seemed empty, the game held no weight, and the fanfare was minimal. That's a goddamn shame.
