I miss the NBA – thankfully, we won’t have to wait too long for the season to start. The election didn’t allow me to have the mental capacity to think of anything too complicated, so let’s take a look at the best-dressed players and outfits of the NBA bubble, shall we? Please note, these are in no particular order. No mental capacity for that, either.
1. LeBron James
I love a coordinating set, and this look from LeBron is on point. I’m also a big fan of this shorter length for… shorts.
2. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
SGA is one of my favorite players, both in game and fashion. You can usually find him layering multiple pieces, but he’s fresh without the layers, too.
3. PJ Tucker
PJ Tucker is always looking right. He is the sneaker KING and brought over 100 pairs of shoes to the bubble, so it’s no surprise he has the perfect pair for every outfit.
4. Chris Paul
CP3 went hard in the bubble – both on and off the court. He represented multiple historically Black colleges, and each look was amazing. This outfit? It’s the pants tucked into the socks for me.
5. CJ McCollum
CJ McCollum, like many other players, used their outfits to continue the fight for social justice. We’re all about that here at The Turf.
6. Jaylen Brown
Like CJ McCollum, Jaylen Brown used his fashion choices to make a statement. Jaylen Brown has consistently been one of the most vocal players in the league in the fight for justice and the Black Lives Matter movement.
7. Tyler Herro
Tyler Herro is undoubtedly confident and fearless on the court and with his outfits. Did you guys know tie dye is back? Look no further than the Gen Z players for the latest trends.
8. Jayson Tatum
Before Jayson Tatum’s son joined him in the NBA bubble, he would carry this Lion King lunchbox so his son, Deuce, would be happy when he saw photos of him. I mean…*heart melts*.
9. Jimmy Butler
Jimmy Butler somehow managed to drop 40 points in the NBA finals against the Lakers and run a part-time coffee business in the bubble. The man’s busy, he needs to be cozy. I’ll take a “Big Face Coffee” hoodie in every color, thanks.
10. Jordan Clarkson
Jordan Clarkson makes a lot of um…bold fashion choices. This look is definitely one of his milder ones, but I really like it. The corduroy jacket with the jorts is something I didn’t know I’d dig but here I am.
11. Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook definitely comes to mind when I think of NBA fashion. He likes to have fun with his outfits, which I always love to see. This is a pretty tame one for Russ, but I want the outfit for myself.
13. JR Smith
JR Smith repped the WNBA with the pullover hoodie and hit it home with the kicks.
I hope you enjoyed this little bit of fluff – I thought we all could use it, what with the dumpster fire that is 2020. Even though this year has been incredibly difficult, it’s also been incredibly eye-opening. This is a time for real change. Get out there – keep fighting the good fight!
