Week 5 NFL Picks – Rapid Fire Picks

We had a rough Week 4, but we are shaking it off with some quick picks!

Week 5 NFL Picks – Rapid Fire Picks

Estimated Reading Time: 6 Minutes

It serves me right. I was reading my own press clippings. Getting high off my own stash. Whatever you wanna call it, my head was too big.

Frankly, I needed last week’s losing record to bring me back down to earth. Without it? I might be at the Bellagio right now with Danny Ocean’s crew with three stacks of high society.

To get back on track, we’re not going to overthink it. In fact, we’re barely going to think it. Just rapid reaction picks all the way.

Here we go.

Week 4 = 6-8

Season-to-Date = 30-28-1

Week 4 of the 2021 NFL Season

New York Jets vs. Atlanta Falcons (-3) – LONDON

Atlanta is without its top two WR and the Jets Defense looked amped up last week.

The Pick = New York

Green Bay Packers @ Cincinnati Bengals (+3)

It’s as simple as “I can’t see Cincy being 4-1.”

The Pick = Green Bay

Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings (-9.5)

I don’t see what Minnesota has done to earn this high of a line.

The Pick = Detroit

Denver Broncos @ Pittsburgh Steelers (-1)

This could be Roethlisberger’s last game as the starter and as much as I hope it is, I think it isn’t.

The Pick = Pittsburgh

Miami Dolphins @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-10)

TB and TB12 look to exhale after last week and put up some serious points this week.

The Pick = Tampa Bay

New Orleans Saints @ Washington Football Team (+2)

Last game to pick. No feel here at all. I guess I’ll go home dog?

The Pick = Washington

Philadelphia Eagles @ Carolina Panthers (-3.5)

I’m going to go down with the “I think the Eagles are good” ship. This might be the last week though.

The Pick = Philadelphia

Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars (+4)

[Absence of game related tweet is not by accident]

I mean, come on. You saw the news. I don’t believe the Jags have a turnaround in them like the 2003 Patriots after the “They hate their coach” incident.

The Pick = Tennessee

New England Patriots @ Houston Texans (+9)

Would be a letdown game no matter who they were playing and now the Patriots likely will be missing 4 of 5 starting o-lineman. Also, their o-line was not good, to begin with!

The Pick = Houston

Chicago Bears @ Las Vegas Raiders (-5.5)

I can’t pick a franchise that thought THIS was a good idea. Plus, I think Fields is starting to get it.

The Pick = Chicago

Cleveland Browns @ Los Angeles Chargers (-1.5)

Coin flip.

The Pick = Los Angeles

New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys (-7)

Dallas plays well in New York. New York plays well in Dallas. I don’t care what Google says, my heart says this is true.

And don’t think I didn’t notice Saquon last week (eye emoji).

The Pick = New York

San Francisco 49ers @ Arizona Cardinals (-5.5)

San Francisco is missing their starting QB and their best offensive player, and Arizona made me look like an idiot picking against them last week.

The Pick = Arizona

Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs (-2.5)

This should be a great game, but I think the line is .5 points too low and I’m grabbing it.

Just so you know, I’m aware it’s this level of analysis that sets me apart from the pack.

The Pick = Kansas City

Indianapolis Colts @ Baltimore Ravens (-7)

I will always be completely honest with you. I wrote this whole thing about how my pick was about how the Colts moved. And then I picked Indianapolis thinking that was the original city.

Still…

The Pick = Indianapolis

There we go. Quick and to the point.

That’s how winning streaks get back on track.

Let’s bring how some W’s this week!

Terry is from Massachusetts and is a passionate fan of the Patriots, Celtics, Red Sox and Bruins. He also will admit he only pays attention to Syracuse basketball when they're good. If there's a Twitter trade rumor even remotely associated with one of his teams, he's likely fallen for it. Finally, he believes 100% that if the Celtics had beaten the Heat in the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals they would have swept the Thunder in the Finals.
