Another campaign in the books. Manchester City won the league comfortably, while Fulham, West Brom, and Sheffield all say goodbye to the top-flight for at least a year. And before we start analyzing summer transfers and new kits for 2022, we asked some of our writers to submit their picks for various awards to put a bow on this past Premier League season (note that while some of these categories are fairly familiar, others we made up for our own fun).

First, a few high-level thoughts. We all agreed that Harry Kane was the league’s best player this year. Hard to ignore the leader in both goals and assists, especially considering that only 4 of his 23 goals this season came via penalties. And most of us had Alisson’s late heroics as the 2020-21 Goal of the Year, despite this instance classic not even making the shortlist on the Premier League website. Oddly enough, Alisson also got plenty of attention in our “Howler” category. Kind of like an Oscar AND Razzie nomination in the same year. But we digress…

We asked Ryan Kelly, Andrew Mark Wilhelm, Kevin Morin, and Joe Danbusky to give us their picks for the Turf’s inaugural 2020-21 Premier League Season Awards, and here’s how things shook down.
